“Our connection to God is a sacred birthright of being human and part of being made in the image of God. This divine attachment is a part of our core being. We’re wired for love, for trust, for connection and belonging; when this gets exploited the harm is immense.”

-Rachael Clinton Chen, Lead Instructor at the Allender Center

Healing happens in community.

Story Workshop for Spiritual Abuse & Healing

May 1-3, 2026 | Virtual

This immersive workshop creates space to engage the painful impact of spiritual abuse and religious trauma. You will be invited to write and bring that story to read in a small group setting. Sharing these stories in a safe, kind space held by a facilitator is part of what takes this work from the head to the heart.

Throughout this 3-day virtual workshop, you’ll begin to name your story, grieve what was lost, and reclaim your faith or spirituality on your own terms.
