Every marriage tells a story.

A story of how you met.
A story of what drew you together.
A story of shared dreams, and the unexpected ways life has tested those dreams.

But for many of us, our stories become tangled over time. Our past patterns show up. Distance replaces tenderness. Conflict feels cyclical. Desire fades beneath the weight of busyness or disappointment.

What if this season could be different? What if you and your partner had space to pause, listen, and rediscover the profound goodness, honor, and delight you were made to share?

The Marriage Conference from the Allender Center is more than just a weekend event. It’s an invitation to explore how your personal stories shape your marriage—and how understanding those stories can lead to deeper kindness, courage, and connection.

What can you expect from the Marriage Conference?

At this two-day conference, you’ll engage three essential dimensions of marriage outlined in Genesis 2:24.

  • Leaving & Loyalty: Have we truly left our families of origin? What loyalties—spoken or unspoken—still shape the way we love, protect, or withdraw from one another?

  • Cleaving: Are we holding to one another in both joy and pain? How does shame keep us from being fully known? What conflict or distance is rooted in that shame? And what might happen if we began to name it with tenderness?

  • Weaving: God loves sex. Yet evil seeks to distort this beautiful gift through shame, secrecy, and fear. Together, you’ll learn what it means to "become one flesh" with freedom, delight, and care.
